In the Control Panel, make sure you are using the Icons view (small or large).
To do that, search for ‘control’ (without quotes) in the Windows search bar and select Control Panel from the results. To check this, open Start Menu -> Control Panel -> Sound and double click on your audio device to open the properties dialog. First, open the Control Panel on your Windows 11 computer.
DTS AUDIO CONTROL PANEL NOT WORKING DRIVERS
The problem here, as far as we can tell, is that the DTS Audio Panel is embedded with the Realtek drivers and Hewlett Packard computers and it can neither be hidden nor removed. On our Hewlett Packard, for example, we only have three items in Startup, and we disabled the Realtek Audio Manager (DTS Audio Control) in the Taskbar, but the icon remains. If you installed Equalizer APO and no changes to the configuration file lead to any changes in the signa l, APOs might have been disabled for the device in the Control Panel. Finally, we also found some registry modifications that, big surprise, didn't work either. We've also read that some went as far as uninstalling the drivers and installing fresh Realtek drivers only to have the tray icon reappear.
These generic answers include either removing the DTS Control Panel from Startup or hiding the tray icon. We've seen the same generic answers repeated over and over again, and they don't work.
